December 19, 1999 Nursing homes that fail to protect residents from harm will face immediate penalties, and consumers will have access to more information about the quality of nursing- home care, the Health Care Financing Administration announced today. HCFA Administrator Nancy-Ann DeParle today said these new steps represent the latest in an on-going effort to ensure that Americans receive quality care in nursing homes.
December 29, 1999 PBGC Issues Estimated Premium Payment Forms The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) has begun mailing to over 7,000 pension plan administrators new forms PBGC Form 1-ES and instructions for estimating premium payments for the 2000 plan year. PBGC also informed premium payers that al of its PBGC mission-critical computer systems are ready for the date change on January 1, 2000.
